How much is my wedding going to cost?

This is the million-dollar question! We are asked this all the time and, unfortunately, we have no fixed answer. In our wedding brochure, you’ll find pricing for venues, catering per head and our services. This will give you an overall idea of the whole wedding cost.

All the other extras such as decor, photography, transport etc. vary widely, but we do have a guide we can send you. Our best advice is for you to have a figure in mind for your wedding budget and we’ll help you stick to it. An average figure however for a wedding in this area would be €150-€250 per person, but this is not fixed.

Why choose Fiestasol for your Marbella wedding?

There are so many reasons!

  1. We are unique in this area as we are a one-stop shop for weddings. We offer wedding planning, full wedding catering, styling and stationery design, all under one roof. Our whole team is based in our offices in Marbella, ensuring a smooth process as everyone works closely as a team.
  2. Our Fiestasol showroom is a fantastic space where we hold client meetings and menu tastings. You can see all of our decor, table settings and accessories in person and all the vendors come to us to meet you, so you don’t need to go anywhere!
  3. We have been organising weddings for 18 years on the Costa del Sol and have an excellent reputation – many wedding venues recommend our services as well as wedding suppliers! We are genuinely proud of our reputation and we have continued to grow year on year as a result.
  4. We offer an all-inclusive service under one roof and we charge very reasonable wedding planning prices.
Do we need to hire a wedding planner?
Most definitely! Planning a wedding is not just about researching and booking your own suppliers. There are so many other details that need to be considered – things like venues’ rules and regulations, which vendors are trustworthy, checking and rechecking details with transport & suppliers, and solving any issues that crop up during the planning process and on the day itself.

When you use Fiestasol, our team are there all day on your wedding day making sure you don’t need to worry about anything, leaving you to enjoy your day to the fullest.

Why should we hire Fiestasol as caterers?
As well as our reputation for amazing food, we offer flexibility in so many ways. All of our equipment is in-house and we offer different chairs, tables, table settings and table details to suit your look and budget. We allow you to buy your own drinks wholesale if you prefer, and we have different styles of menus including seated, buffet, paella stations etc.
Do you offer set wedding packages?
No, we prefer to offer a more bespoke approach, working closely with you to design the exact wedding that suits you as a couple and your budget. We find set wedding packages to be quite restrictive, so our approach allows for much more freedom and personalisation.
Do you work with different budgets?
Absolutely! We can work with pretty much any budget and will set up a call with you, in the beginning, to discuss what your budget is and what your priorities are. It’s then our job to help you stick to it!
Can we get legally married in Spain?
You can only get legally married in Spain if you are a resident or if you’re in the catholic church. Most couples decide to get the legal bit out of the way at home first and then have a wedding blessing here in Spain. This includes vows, exchange of rings etc., just not legally binding. Plus, it gives you the flexibility to be able to hold the ceremony at your wedding venue.
Do the venues have noise restrictions?
The law in Spain is that all loud music in residential areas must be turned off at midnight, however, this is dependent on neighbours. More remote venues can have music until the early hours, and some central venues have indoor spaces especially designed for the party to carry on late into the night.
What are the best months to hold our wedding?
The most popular months for weddings on the Costa del Sol are May, June and September because they are lovely and warm, but not too warm. As a result, these months tend to get very booked up, especially on weekends. The months of April and the beginning of May can be a bit risky for rain, and July and August are very hot, so it’s best to aim for a later ceremony during the summer months.
Can we book our own suppliers?
Absolutely. We have a Supplier Directory that we send out to you at the beginning of the wedding planning process, but we are happy for you to book your own. If we haven’t heard of them, we can’t vouch for them, unfortunately, and you often get what you pay for!
How much is VAT in Spain?
VAT (or IVA in Spain) is 10% for food & catering and 21% for services.
How and when do we pay your fees?
For wedding planning, we ask for 50% upfront to get the ball rolling and the final 50% will be due at the wedding.

For catering, we ask for a 30% deposit once you have had your wedding tasting with us, with the remaining balance due during the week before the wedding.

Do you charge for venue visits?
No, we do up to 5 venue visits at no cost.
Will you send us a contract?
Yes, we provide full contracts for both our wedding planning and catering services that detail all our terms and conditions.
What happens if we need to cancel?
This depends on how soon before the wedding you cancel. All cancellation and refund details are in our contracts.
What do you see go wrong most often at weddings?
We would say the number one mistake at weddings, without a doubt, is not enough shade. So many of our clients underestimate how uncomfortable their guests can get in suits/formalwear, particularly during the ceremony. We have many pretty shade options including Bali umbrellas, individual parasols, fans, hats and full-shade structures. You don’t want all your guests’ lasting memories of your wedding to be how hot and uncomfortable they were!
